A consultant booking normally requires a 30% deposit. Online, €250 or £250 reserves your place and is deducted from that deposit. The balance is generally due four weeks before departure; your quote or portal confirms the dates.

You can do either. If you find the right programme, you can begin enrolment online. If you want to compare schools, dates or options, a consultant will prepare a tailored quote and support you through confirmation.

Flights and a group leader are included with Junior group departures. For other programmes, flights are booked separately; once you have booked, we can arrange the flight and any services you need. Always check the inclusions for your chosen programme.

It depends on the programme. Flights, personal spending, optional excursions, room upgrades, special diets and cancellation cover may be extra. Your quote always separates included and optional items.

We can consider an instalment plan based on the programme, departure date and individual circumstances. Ask your consultant before confirming; the amounts and due dates must appear in your quote.

Not after confirmation. Once the booking is confirmed, the deposit is non-refundable. Further cancellation charges may apply depending on the date and the programme terms supplied with your quote and confirmation.

It depends on availability and supplier terms. Tell us as soon as possible. We will check whether the change is possible and confirm any price difference, charges and new due dates in writing before proceeding.

Send the request in writing. Once the booking is confirmed, the deposit is non-refundable and any further charge depends on when you cancel and the terms applying to the trip. If you bought cancellation cover, contact the insurer too.

Yes. Flywire lets you choose from several currencies. If it differs from the programme currency, Flywire shows the daily exchange rate, amount and any charges before you confirm.

You receive an automatic confirmation after payment. Invoices and payment status are available in the portal once issued. If anything is missing, email hello@eduleap.world.

Often, yes. They may join different age groups, such as 9–13 and 14–17, at the same centre or destination where the dates allow. We check the options case by case.

We assess teaching, accreditation, international mix, accommodation, support and value. We visit partner schools and review their welfare and emergency procedures.

Every minor needs an individual valid travel document. Parental consent, health forms and travel authorisation may also be required, and an Italian under 14 travelling without at least one parent needs a declaration of accompaniment. The portal shows what applies to the trip.

Travel and medical cover is included with individual Junior programmes and group departures; it is optional elsewhere. Cancellation cover is always extra. Check your quote and policy.

Yes, where insurance is optional. Check that it covers the destination, duration, activities and any school requirements. Where cover is included with the programme, you will still receive that policy.

It depends on citizenship, length and programme type. Many European visitors need an ETA; a longer course or school year may require a visa. We will point you to the route to verify on GOV.UK.

EU citizens can generally travel with a valid passport or a national identity card valid for travel abroad. Ireland applies its own border controls. Always check citizenship, transit and current requirements before travel.

An EU residence permit does not automatically replace a visa for another destination. The passport, permit, destination, transit and type of study all need checking. Tell us your citizenship before booking.

Not always. ESTA only applies to journeys that qualify under the Visa Waiver Program. High school and some language study require a student visa. The route depends on the programme and is confirmed before enrolment.

Generally at least seven days before departure, unless the portal gives an earlier date. Start passports, visas and authorisations immediately because government processing can take much longer.

Not necessarily, but tell us before booking. We check the school, accommodation, meals, activities and insurance to see whether the programme can support it safely and which documents are required.

Depending on the programme, options may include a host family, residence, college, boarding school or apartment. The trip page and quote show what is actually available.

Yes, at any Junior age where both are available for the destination and programme. The trip page shows the offered options and the supervision provided.

Host families are recruited by the school. Every adult in the home completes the required checks, including police, DBS or equivalent screening, and the home is visited by the school or EduLeap before placement. Families are then monitored periodically.

Junior programmes include the meals stated in the package. Adult and long-stay programmes may offer full board, half board, breakfast or self-catering. Your quote gives the definitive meal plan.

It depends on the school, accommodation and programme. The trip page shows the available options. A single room, private bathroom or other upgrade may cost extra.

You can request it before booking. The school will try to accommodate the request, but it depends on availability and is not confirmed until it appears in writing.

Often, yes, but it must be checked before booking. Record allergies, medical reasons and dietary needs on the form. Some requests may carry a supplement, which is shown in the quote.

It varies by destination and accommodation. It may be within walking distance, on campus or reached by public transport. The trip page gives the expected arrangement and final details arrive before travel.

Contact EduLeap straight away. We review the issue with the school and host or residence; if it is valid or cannot be resolved, we look for another placement subject to availability. Timing and costs depend on the reason.

It depends on the programme. A Junior day combines lessons, meals, activities and excursions; free time depends on age and follows the centre’s rules. Adults follow their course timetable and organise the rest independently. The trip page shows the outline.

During office hours, use phone, WhatsApp or email. Outside those hours, your portal lists EduLeap’s emergency line and local contacts, reserved for current travellers.

It depends on what is included, the destination and personal habits. The meals and activities stated in the programme are covered; money is needed for personal spending and optional extras. A consultant can help with a realistic budget.

It is common, particularly in the first few days. Staff speak with the student, help them settle in and involve the family and EduLeap where needed. Ongoing welfare concerns follow the centre’s procedure.

Yes, although the school or centre may restrict use during lessons, activities, meals or after the evening deadline. The exact rules are explained on arrival and may vary by age.

Speak to EduLeap first. Visits and time away with family must be authorised and coordinated with the centre because they affect supervision, meals, activities and responsibility during the programme.

The student will normally contact the family after arrival. School staff or the transfer provider meet them and take them to the accommodation. If there is a problem, the booking contacts are used.

Call local emergency services where there is an immediate danger. For a minor, also call the school’s emergency number or EduLeap’s emergency line; for medical help, contact the insurer first when the situation allows. All relevant numbers are in the portal.

The school uses a placement test, either online before travel or on the first day. Some tests include a speaking section. If the class is not suitable, the teacher assesses a change, normally without a fee.

It depends on the school, level and time of year. Where the centre publishes a maximum, it appears on the programme page. Class size and individual attention form part of our school-selection process.

Our aim is an international environment wherever possible. Classes are formed by level and the mix depends on the school’s enrolments. Even on group departures, we select centres where students use the language with people from other countries.

Yes. At the end of the course, the school issues a certificate recording attendance and the level achieved under its assessment. It is normally provided on paper and can be requested by email.

Yes, on selected programmes. Preparation, exam registration, dates and fees are not always part of a general course. Check the programme page or ask a consultant.

Yes. Our range runs year-round and many courses start on Mondays, but dates and duration depend on the school. Check the current listing.

Yes. Our 40+ range also includes students over 50 and combines lessons with activities and excursions alongside other 40+ participants, or you can choose a general adult course.

It does not guarantee paid work. In Ireland and Malta we help you look for a job, although we cannot guarantee one. Some programmes guarantee an unpaid internship for candidates who meet the English and CV requirements, or a refund if no internship is found. The exact format is stated in the quote.

Yes. Tuition, accommodation, stated meals and activities form part of a programme supervised day and night. Rules, staffing and permitted independence vary by age, centre and destination.

On an individual Junior trip, a parent or guardian accompanies the child to departure; school or transfer staff meet them on arrival. With an Unaccompanied Minor service, the airline manages flight assistance. On group departures, students meet the leader at the stated airport.

The leader is selected, checked and trained by EduLeap or the partner school. The group is accompanied while travelling and supported on site; the person on the flight may be different from the leader at the centre.

To travel on their own, yes: Junior study holidays start at 9. For 7- and 8-year-olds we offer family programmes, where the child joins a course and a parent travels with them. From 9, we consider independence, experience away from home, language, length and centre type.

Some schools accept students from 16. Until you are 18, you may stay only with a host family. The school’s under-18 rules still apply, but there is no 24/7 supervision as on a Junior programme. We check suitability before booking.

Depending on the programme, they can speak to centre staff, the host family, group leader or assigned guardian. EduLeap remains reachable by phone, with programme and emergency contacts shown in the portal.

Yes. Students keep their phones and can contact family, subject to centre rules during lessons, activities, meals and overnight. In an emergency, use the portal contacts rather than waiting for the student to reply.
